Fırst thoughts

**** sorry ı dıdnt have tıme to edıt. ı wrote thıs on the fırst day on my lappy and now ım uploadıng.

First day
The turkish airlines was great. It had turquoise seats which was so fitting. Everyone had their own tv. I watched 21, friends, and house. And no one sat next to me so I had three seats to myself. So needless to say I slept very well. I didn’t want to get off because I wanted to watch more tv. Ha.
The istanbul airport was really nice and clean and super easy to use. I bought my visa for 20 dollors. Then went through another with a realy hot turkish boy who flipped through my passport for 1 second. Then it was time for baggage claim. Which was also really easy peasy! The whole time though I was looking for a guy with my name on a piece of paper. I got my bags and found the exit. There was a crowd of people standing near the exit. I scanned the crowd and saw my name!! This lady with a hijab was holding it. I smiled and they came towards me. The women said “Yasmeen?” I said yes. Her husband was with her along with their 4 year old daughter, Zainep. We exchanged hellos and began walking. It was nice to know I was with a family. We walked to their car and got in. Mustafa told me that Bursa was actually four hours away. So it was quite a drive that I needed to get ready for.
The wife did not know any english and neither did the girl. So mustafa translated a lot. They asked me questions and I answered them. They were short and simple questions. After a while we all got used to just looking at each other and smiling. Soon, I just became another person in their car, which I was happy about. I was tired and its exhausting to keep trying to communicate in different languages.
We drove and passed through the Bosporus. Once on a bridge and then again on a boat that carries cars across. We got out and walked along the upper deck of the boat. IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. I sat there and just watched the coastline of Istanbul pull away from me. I watched Zainep run around and then we all got in the car again. By this point Zainep just calls me teacher, because I will be her english teacher soon.
After two more hours we reached another destination. Zainep and I had fallen asleep for quite sometime so when we stopped I was kind of out of it. I realized we were at the school that I was teaching at. I quickly became attentive despite not knowing where I was. The school was a really big buildilng with nice tile floors. Kids of all ages were walking around in their uniform. I soon met a girl my age. Her name is layla and I would be living with her. We then drove with her to her apartment. I said goodbye to the family and soon entered my new home.
The apartment is on the seventh floor surrounded by a neighborhood of other apartments and markets. It seems like a great location. We went upstairs and entered the apartment. There is a big living room with three couches and a rug. Really sparse but homey. There are large windows that cover one entire wall of the living room. The kitchen is adajacent with a balcony connected to it. There are three rooms. Two beds for two people. Very very small. But cozy! They have nice carpets. So there are six girls living a three bedroom apt. its just what I am used to, but in turkey! The girls and I made dinner and it was very very delicious. Soup and pasta and yogurt and then tea. Then lots of Turkish talk and then I fell asleep.
