Autumn Almanac

Yes, Yes, yes! its my autumn almanac! A great song by the Kinks that I just heard from my itunes.

So due to faulty planning as I was leaving Istanbul airport I was informed that I had overstayed my visa by one month and I would not be able to come back on a visitors visa. I had to wait a probationary of 3 months and then i could return to Turkey. Then I waved goodbye to my friends, suddenly realizing that is might be the end. SAD! Suddenly Turkey was snatched out of my hands.

I spent time with family as I returned to the US all sad and lost and began to find something for me to do here. Living away for so longs sticks with you and I just want to travel even more now. I traveled around the midwest for two weeks hitting up dallas, norman, and wichita.

As I settled back into my awesome parents house in tulsa I figured out it was time to apply to Teach for America. If I am accepted I will be placed in a city and I will teach for 1-2 years. I am excited about this because it will get me to a new place and I quickly dive into a new challenge. Pray for me!!!

So, I guess I got things figured out for now. This Turkey blog has now turned into a me blog. more to come about: teaching, twilight, and travels.
